Troubleshoot Supply Chain Orchestration

Troubleshoot problems that you encounter with administering Supply Chain Orchestration.

I encounter a message.

The supply request failed because Global Order Promising didn't create a supply recommendation.

Here are some solutions you can try.

  • Go to the Order Management work area, search for, then open your sales order. On the Order page, click Actions > Switch to Fulfillment View. Click Fulfillment Lines, then click Check Availability. Click View Availability Options, then examine the supply that Global Order Promising recommends. If the recommended supply doesn't meet demand for the sales order, then you might need to revise your set up in Global Order Promising.

  • Go to the Global Order Promising work area, click Tasks > Manage ATP Rules, then set the Infinite Availability Time Fence Definition attribute to a larger value.

  • In the Global Order Promising work area, click Tasks > Manage Sourcing Rules, then set the Organization Assignment Type attribute to Local for the sourcing rule that applies to the line. If the item is a configured item, then make sure you have a sourcing rule for each configure option.

  • Go to the Work Definition work area, click Tasks > Manage Work Definitions, open the work definition for the item that's on the order line, then make sure it doesn't have any errors. For details, see How You Configure Manufacturing to Support Back-to-Back Fulfillment.

  • Collect data to make sure Global Order Promising uses your latest set ups. For details, see Collect Planning Data for Order Management.
