Prioritize Your Allocation Rules

You can use the Allocation Assignment area in your allocation rule to assign the rule to a category, item, organization, item and organization, or category and organization.

If you create more than allocation one rule, and if more than one of them applies, then Promising uses a hierarchy to determine which one to apply, where Category and Organization has the highest priority, and Category has the lowest.

Assume you assign rule x to the item, and rule y to the category. Promising will use rule x because the item has a higher priority than the category.
