Overview of Planning Measure Data Extractions from Plan Output

Planning information is an important component of supply chain analytics. It's important to extract planning measure data from any plan to build offline reports or integrate with any external system.

Planners can use the Export Plan Data action from the Manage Plans page to run the Prepare Supply Chain Planning Data for Export scheduled process. You can also run the process or schedule as a job from the Scheduled Processes page under the Tools menu in the Navigator.

When analyzing a plan, you can extract detail supply chain planning multidimensional plan output data, including measures and hierarchies. The extract is based on the measure catalog and dimension catalog assigned to the plan. The Prepare Supply Chain Planning Data for Export scheduled process extracts plan output data into a set of files for external reporting and analysis.

The extract process exports plan data to WebCenter Content in the comma-separated value (CSV) data format. This extract includes measure data, including any measures that you configured that are either stored or calculated. For calculated measures, the planning process extracts the data after evaluating the measure expressions. The extract is based on the measure catalog and dimension catalog assigned to the plan and includes user-defined hierarchies and levels. Supporting information such as hierarchies for multidimensional analysis is also exported.

Before you can run the Prepare Supply Chain Planning Data for Export scheduled process for a plan, you must:

1. As a one-time setup, create an application integration with login credentials.

   1. Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area and select the Manage Setup Content task.

   2. On the Manage Integration of Additional Applications page, set up the following:

      • Application Name: SCP_BICC_REST_CREDENTIALS

      • Full URL: Enter the host name of the application. For example: https://example.fa.app.oraclecloud.com

      • Partner Name: SCP_BICC_REST_CREDENTIALS

      • Security Policy: oracle/wss_username_token_over_ssl_client_policy

2. Ensure that the user running the extract has access to the Upload and Download Data from On-Premise System to Cloud System role (OBIA_EXTRACTTRANSFORMLOAD_RWD).

3. Configure the extract options for your plan. Navigate to the Plan Options page, Scope tab and click the Advanced Options button. In the Scope: Advanced options dialog box, in the Extract Options section, configure the extract parameters.

4. Navigate to the Manage Plans page and select a plan. Select Export Plan Data to run the Prepare Supply Chain Planning Data for Export scheduled process.

You can extract data at the lowest level from any of these plan types:

• Demand plan

• Demand and Supply plan

• Replenishment plan

• Sales and Operations plan

• Supply plan
