How do I manage organizations in Quality Management Cloud?

Using the Manage Inventory Organizations setup task, you can create and maintain organizations.

Ensure access to listed organizations when creating a quality issue or action. Run the Manage Data Access for Users task in the Setup and Maintenance work area. Based on their job roles, users are assigned access to specific security contexts that affect their visibility of data.

Only items that are associated to an inventory organization can be added as affected items on a quality issue or action. Quality issues and actions are created against available, manufactured, or received items. Inventory balances aren't maintained for item organizations, so such organizations aren't valid for quality issues and actions. Item organizations are used to define items for which inventory balances aren't stored, inventory storage or inventory movement isn't reflected, and no financial transactions occur in the downstream applications.

Note: Item organizations are valid for problem reports and corrective actions that are based on change types.
