Configure Business Rules for Notifications

By default, a rule exists in the application that sends notifications to the requesters of the recalled parts that are identified in the expense locations.

However, you must configure business rules if you want to send notifications to other stakeholders informing them about the recall tasks to be completed.

To configure the business rules:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, in the Manage Task Configurations for Supply Chain Management task, search for the ProductRecallTraceabilityFyi human task.

  2. Configure business rules using these attributes:

    • recallTaskCode with attribute values: ORA_COUNT, ORA_DELIVER, ORA_INSTRUCTIONS, ORA_DISPOSAL, and ORA_DEBIT_MEMO.

    • inventoryOrganizationCode

    • deliverToLocationCode

    • deliverToLocationName

    • subinventory

    • productTraceStatusCode with attribute values: ORA_PAR, ORA_IN_STOCK, ORA_EXPENSE, and ORA_INBOUND

    • requesterName

    • purchasingCategory

    • businessUnit

Note: The businessUnit attribute is available under the ProductRecallTraceabilityFyiPayloadType attribute, and all other attributes are available under the RecallTraceStatusHumanTaskPayload attribute.You can optionally configure the approval groups and use those groups in a business rule to send notifications to a group of stakeholders.
