Accessing an Item Replacement Task

There are two ways you can access an item replacement task.

  • Through the Inventory Management work area:
    1. In the inventory management work area, find and click the Manage Mass Replacement of Items task.
    2. On the Item Replacements page, you’ll find a list of item replacement tasks in your inventory organization. Click on a replacement task to go to its replacement details page.
    3. Click Replace to initiate replacement for an inventory organization.
  • Through the item replacement notification: When the buyer replaces the unfulfilled POs and completes the replacement task that they’ve defined in Oracle Purchasing, you’ll receive a notification.
    1. Click the replacement task number on the notification that you receive. This will take you to the Replacement Details page, where you can view a list of impacted inventory organizations for which you have data access.
    2. Click Replace to initiate replacement for an inventory organization.

The item replacement landing page shows a list of item replacement tasks from where you can drill down to the replacement details page of a task. The replacement details include the status of a task and the actions you can take based on the status.

Note: In some statuses, scheduled processes could be running to complete different actions. Make sure that you refresh the replacement details page to get the updated status and action required for a replacement task at any point of time.

After you initiate replacement, you’ll be directed to a guided process to complete the next steps.
