Guidelines for Setting Up Item Attributes for Feature-Based Forecasting

This topic discusses the setting up of item attributes for feature-based forecasting.

You can add item attributes in the Manage Attribute List dialog box that you open from the Levels and Attributes tab on the Configure Planning Analytics page.

Note these points while adding item attributes for feature-based forecasting:

• Only the attributes you configure at the Item level for Product dimension hierarchies are available for selection on the Attributes tab in the Create Feature Groups from Levels and Attributes dialog box that you open from the Feature Groups tab on the Manage Forecasting Profiles page.

• You can add the global and other available attributes that are collected from Oracle Fusion Cloud Product Lifecycle Management or uploaded through the file-based data import (FBDI) template for Supply Chain Planning items. You can provide meaningful labels for these item attributes while adding them.

• The predefined label for the GLOBAL_ATTRIBUTE_DATE1 attribute is Product Launch Date.

  This item attribute is mapped to the predefined Product Launch Date measure in the Product Launch Date feature group for forecasting profiles that use feature-based machine learning.

After you configure the item attributes, add them to the dimension catalog of the demand plan.
