Configure Oracle IoT Intelligent Applications Cloud Service for Feature-Based Forecasting

This topic explains how the Oracle Internet of Things Intelligent Applications Cloud Service is configured for feature-based forecasting.

The configuration for the IoT Intelligent Applications Cloud Service is done on the Settings page of the Oracle Internet of Things Asset Monitoring Cloud Service. You must configure the following:

  • the cloud account settings

  • the Oracle Object Storage Service

  • the Oracle Demand Management Cloud Service

Configure the Cloud Account Settings

Follow these steps to configure the cloud account settings:

  1. In the IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud Service, on the Navigator, click App Settings.

    The Users page opens.

  2. Click Settings.

    The Settings page opens.

  3. Under Cloud Account, in Tenant OCID, enter the cloud tenant OCID for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage service that you're using.

  4. In User OCID, enter the user OCID for the OCI Object Storage service that you're using.

  5. Click Generate Public Key.

    The Public Key and Fingerprint fields appear. The Fingerprint field has a value.

  6. Copy the public key.

  7. In the OCI Object Storage service, go to the user settings for the bucket owner.

    The .gz file containing the extracted data from Oracle Demand Management is placed by the Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Connector into this bucket.

  8. Under Resources, click API Keys.

    The API Keys section is displayed.

  9. Under API Keys, click Add Public Key.

    The Add Public Key dialog box opens.

    Note: If three public keys are already listed under API Keys, you have to first delete one public key. An OCI Object Storage service user can't have more than three public keys.
  10. Select Paste Public Keys, and paste the copied public key in the Public Key field.

  11. Click Add.

    The Add Public Key dialog box is closed, and the fingerprint for the added public key is displayed under API Keys. The fingerprint should be the same as that displayed on the Settings page of the IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud Service under Cloud Account.

Configure the Oracle Object Storage Service

Follow these steps to configure the Oracle Object Storage Service:

  1. In the IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud Service, on the Navigator, click App Settings.

    The Users page opens.

  2. Click Settings.

    The Settings page opens.

  3. Under Oracle Object Storage Service, select the Object storage enabled check box.

    The Storage URL, namespace, and Default Bucket fields are displayed.

  4. In Storage URL, enter the location where the data is stored in the OCI Object Storage service.

  5. In namespace, enter the name of the compartment that contains the bucket.

  6. In Default Bucket, enter the name of the bucket that you created in the OCI Object Storage service to store the data extracted by the Business Intelligence Cloud Connector from Demand Management.

Configure the Oracle Demand Management Cloud Service

Follow these steps to configure the Oracle Demand Management Cloud Service:

  1. In the IoT Asset Monitoring Cloud Service, on the Navigator, click App Settings.

    The Users page opens.

  2. Click Settings.

    The Settings page opens.

  3. Under Oracle Demand Management Cloud Service, select the Demand Management Cloud enabled check box.

    The Object Storage integration and Object Storage container fields are displayed.

  4. In Object Storage integration, select Object Storage.

  5. In Object Storage container, enter the name of the bucket that you created in the OCI Object Storage service to store the data extracted by the Business Intelligence Cloud Connector from Demand Management.
