Demand Reviews

The Sales and Operations Planning demand review process enables the collaboration within an enterprise required to develop an unconstrained consensus forecast. The consensus forecast is a single set of forecast numbers that the enterprise determines.

Use the Demand Review Summary dashboard in the Sales and Operations Planning work area to identify significant gaps between lagged consensus forecast and actual sales. From the dashboard, you can drill down to various tables to make forecast adjustments.

The four infotiles on the Demand Review Summary dashboard are:

  • Unconstrained versus Forecast: Displays the comparison between the Unconstrained Operating Plan Value and the Financial Forecast Value. The Unconstrained Operating Plan Value is the value of all of the demand planned for. The Financial Forecast value is the forecast estimate (in currency).

  • Consensus Forecast Value Change: Displays the change between the Consensus Forecast Value, the current consensus forecast, and the previous value in the last MAPE archive.

  • Forecast Value Comparison: Displays the comparison between the Consensus Forecast Value and the Final Sales Forecast Value.

  • Stakeholder Forecast MAPE: Displays the comparison between the forecast accuracy performance and stakeholders. This infotile compares the sales, marketing, and consensus forecasts.
