Upgrade Product Management Data

Use the Upgrade Product Management Data scheduled process to update Oracle Fusion Cloud Product Lifecycle Management functional areas to include selected features.

For each functional area there are one or more features that you can include in the upgrade. You must select each feature separately and run the Analysis or Execution process for each as required. The Analysis process posts the results of the analysis in the request log and output files for scheduled process.

Upgrade Manufacturer Management

Update all presence indicators

You must run this process after opting in for the feature Upgrade Manufacturer Management to mass upgrade existing manufacturer objects. This upgrades product features and data by launching subprocesses for each type of update.

Run this process to update data presence indicators for manufacturer objects.

Item Import Update Request ID and Load Request to 0 Run this process to set the values for REQUEST_ID and LOAD_REQUEST_ID to 0, for items imported through non file-based-import (FBDI) processes. Once these IDs are populated, you can purge the data using the Purge Tables scheduled process.
Item Child Entity Presence Indicators List of data presence indicators for item child entities

Run these processes to add data presence indicators in the item and item structure search results tables.

Note: Start each process only after the previous one completes.

Delete Orphan Extensible Flexfield Rows

Item Object Types

Run this process to delete orphan rows created in EGO_ITEM_EFF tables due to the removal of attribute groups.

Run this process to enable the new operational attribute 'Item Object Type' for items and documents. This will populate the item object type column with appropriate values. This attribute can then be exposed as a filter chip in the search results.

Item Relationships Update start dates on AML and display redlines Run this process to update the start dates on existing AMLs and ensure that AML redlines are displayed correctly on change orders.

Troubleshooting Information

  • You can view the status of the job in the Scheduled Processes work area.
  • If the upgrade results in an error, you must fix the issues and rerun the Enterprise Scheduler Service process. The upgrade will only try to upgrade objects that haven't yet been upgraded.
  • For opt-in features, you must ensure that you’ve opted in for the feature before running the upgrade process.
