Release Your Plan from Buyer Planning

You can release your replenishment plan from the Buyer Planning work area to generate purchase orders in Oracle Procurement. The status of the planned orders that are marked for release changes to Released.

Note: A good business practice is to ensure that the planning team adheres to a formal business process for releasing a plan to Oracle Procurement so that you won’t release a plan prematurely.

When you release a plan, the release process generates purchase orders based on:

• Custom grouping of orders you did in the Buyer Planning work area
• Purchase agreements from Oracle Procurement
• Group By settings defined for a replenishment plan

To release a plan:

In the Buyer Planning work area, Buyer Planning tab, click Release Plan. The Release Plan from Buyer Planning scheduled process runs.

Order status changes after the process completes:
