Who Should Have Access
Before you create an access control list, decide which users or user groups should have access to a particular object, and in what conditions.
First, ensure that users who should be part of your teams are set up in the application and associated with the appropriate worker type. Then create filtered lists of these users so that you can add them to teams based on certain membership conditions.
Create and Manage Users
To create users, from the Setup and Maintenance work area, click Product Management → Users and Security → Manage Users. For more information, see Create Users.

Create Filtered Lists
- On the home page click My Client Groups > Show More. In Data Exchange, click Filtered Lists.
- On the Filtered Lists page, click Add.
- Enter the details for the new list:
- Name: name for the membership condition. For example, a condition named BostonDesign to extract team members working out of Boston and managing product design.
- Details: description for the membership condition.
- Object: select Worker Assignment Extract.
- Subscriber: select Product Life Cycle Management.
- Status: set the status as Active.
- In Conditions, click Add to create a condition:
- Select a member attribute. For example, Location, or Department.
- Select an operator (Is one of, Is not one of).
- Select values for the attribute. Note that:
- A membership condition can be built on these attributes: Location Code, Location Name, Department Name, Department Title, Legal Employer Name, Assignment User Status, Assignment Status type, System Person Type, User Person Type, Assignment Category, Position Code, Position Code, Position Name, and Worker Type.
- You can select multiple conditions separated with an 'And' or 'OR' operator. For example, filter members whose location is either 'New York City' OR 'Houston'.
- The conditions that you create will be available for selection when you create teams.
- Click Create.
