Configure Business Rules for Notifications
You can configure business rules to send FYI notifications to the users when recall notices are ingested into the Product Recall Management application in Pending Acceptance status.
By default, a rule exists in the application that sends notifications to the users who has the Product Recall Manager job role. But you can configure the business rules to send this notification to different users as well or to the users who has a custom role assigned to manage the product recalls.
- In the Set up and Maintenance work area, use the Manage Task Configuration for

- Configure business rules using these attributes:
- Device classification by recalling firm
- Classification by regulatory authority
You can also configure business rules to send FYI notifications to the users to manage the containment tasks generated for the recall notices captured in your organization.

In the Count and Disposal tasks workflow, to perform recall count, quarantine the affected goods, and perform disposition transactions, you must configure business rules to send FYI notifications to other stakeholders informing them about the containment tasks to be completed.
By default, a rule exists in the application that sends notifications to the requesters of the recalled parts that are identified in the expense locations. But you can also configure rules to notify users based on different criteria such as cost center or inventory organization. For perpetual and par locations, business rules must be configured to send the notifications.

In the Bypass count and disposal tasks workflow, that is, when you have enabled the Bypass Count and Disposal Tasks attribute in Recall Parameters to complete the recall containment tasks by directly entering a reason code, without having to do the recall counts and disposition transactions, you must configure business rules to send FYI notifications to other stakeholders informing them about the containment tasks to be completed.

You can optionally configure the approval groups and use those groups in a business rule to send notifications to a group of stakeholders.
