Overview of Approval Rules
You can create approval rules for change orders and new item requests using the Oracle Business Process Management Suite (BPM) and Approvals Management Extensions of the Oracle Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) suite. BPM provides the interface to administer the approval rules.
You must be assigned with a BPM administrator role to access and configure approval rules in the BPM Worklist.
Here’s what you can do:
- Configure the approval rule set and rules.
- Configure the rules in advanced mode.
To create rules, you must provide values for these rule components:
- Condition: Criteria that change orders and new item requests must satisfy.
- Response type: Required.
A response from the approver is required. Note that the FYI type isn’t supported.
- List builder: Creates a list of approvers for a specific notification.
