Create a Data Access Set and Define Its Conditions

You create data access sets to determine who can do what for specific data. You use the Administer Planning Security task to create a data access set and define its conditions.

Steps to create a new data access set:
  1. In the Plan Inputs work area, select the Administer Planning Security task.
  2. On the Administer Planning Security page, click the Add Row icon in the Search Results region.
  3. In the Data Access Set, enter a unique name.
  4. In Description, enter the description for the data access set.
  5. Click the Job Role icon.
  6. Select the required job roles per your design in the Select Job Roles dialog box and then click OK.
  7. In the data access set region, click Actions and then select Add Row.
  8. Select an entity from the Entity drop-down list.
  9. Select a level from the Level drop-down list.
  10. By default, the Enable Write check box is selected. Deselect the check box to provide only read access to the data.
  11. Search or create conditions using the Condition Name drop-down list.
  12. Save the data access set to apply data security using the defined conditions.
