Create a Data Access Set and Define Its Conditions
You create data access sets to determine who can do what for specific data. You use the Administer Planning Security task to create a data access set and define its conditions.
Steps to create a new data access set:
- In the Plan Inputs work area, select the Administer Planning Security task.
- On the Administer Planning Security page, click the Add Row icon in the Search Results region.
- In the Data Access Set, enter a unique name.
- In Description, enter the description for the data access set.
- Click the Job Role icon.
- Select the required job roles per your design in the Select Job Roles dialog box and then click OK.
- In the data access set region, click Actions and then select Add Row.
- Select an entity from the Entity drop-down list.
- Select a level from the Level drop-down list.
- By default, the Enable Write check box is selected. Deselect the check box to provide only read access to the data.
- Search or create conditions using the Condition Name drop-down list.
- Save the data access set to apply data security using the defined conditions.
