Locate Recalled Parts
After duplicate validation is performed on a recall notice and the notice is retained, you can initiate the Locate action.
This action submits the scheduled process Locate Recalled Parts, which traces the recalled items within your facility across the following locations:
-
Perpetual inventory locations
-
Par locations
-
Expense locations
It also checks for any in-transit shipments or unfulfilled purchase orders associated with the recalled items.
If an item is lot or serial controlled in Oracle Inventory Management, the application traces the recalled parts using the lot or serial information captured in the recall notice.
If the item is a plain item (not lot or serial controlled) or a non-catalog item, the application uses the recall period to trace the affected parts. The recall period refers to the time between the track start and track end dates, which are automatically derived based on the transaction history timeframe configured in the Recall Parameters.
Also, currently, track and trace of recalled items at the LPN level is not supported for LPN-enabled organizations.
