Why Order Management Disables Fulfillment Actions

The Order Management work area disables some of the order line actions that you can do under certain situations.

Action

When Disabled

All order line actions, except view

  • The order line is locked, canceled, closed, was shipped, or is part of a configured item.

  • The user request status is processing.

  • Order Management hasn't assigned an orchestration process to the order line.

Unschedule

  • The order line isn't scheduled.

  • The scheduled ship date is empty.

Reserve

  • The order line isn't scheduled.

  • The Scheduled Ship Date is empty.

  • The order line is reserved.

  • The reserved quantity contains a value.

Unreserve

  • The order line is reserved.

  • The reserved quantity is empty.

Substitute Item

  • You selected more than one order line, but they don't all reference the same item.

  • The Substitute Allowed feature equals False for the order line, and you didn't sign in with the privileges that you need to override this restriction.

  • The order line is part of a configured item.

  • The order line is part of a shipment set.

Release Hold

The order line isn't on hold.

Split Fulfillment Line

  • The order line belongs to a shipment set.

  • The Split Allowed feature equals False for the order line, and you didn't sign in with the privileges that you need to override this restriction.

  • You selected more than one order line.
