Overview of Administer Planning Security

If you’re responsible for the Administer Planning Security task, you can set security permissions according to the job roles. You do this by defining data security rules for data access sets.

Your goal is to design a set of data access sets that will implement your enterprise's decisions regarding which planners can act on which data sets.

Using the Administer Planning Security task, you can:

• Define data access sets that determine who can access what
• Assign those access sets to roles

The data access security you create using this task is in addition to data security applicable to all modules.

You can restrict the visibility of supply and demand, measures, analytics, and other entity data to authorized users through flexible filters and rules.
