Create and Edit a Trade Operation Template
Create reusable trade operation templates with predefined duty, freight, and other landed cost charges. When you create a trade operation from a template, all predefined information is automatically copied into the trade operation.
Create a Trade Operation Template
- In the Receipt Accounting work area, select the Trade Operation Templates page from the Quick actions menu.
- Click Create Template.
- Specify the general information about the template in the New trade operation
template panel drawer, as described in the table.
Field Description Name Specify the name of the trade operation template. Description Provide a description of the trade operation template. Procurement BU Select the procurement BU for which the template can be used. Document Currency Select the currency to be used for the trade operation.
Currency Conversion Rate Type Select the currency conversion rate type for the trade operation.
Route Select a route for the trade operation. Effective Start Date Select the date starting which the template can be used. Effective End Date Select the date up to which the template can be used. - Click Create.
In the newly created template, you can add charges and specify the review timelines of the template. You can also specify these details later while editing the template.
Edit a Trade Operation Template
- In the Receipt Accounting work area, select Trade Operation Templates from the Quick actions menu.
- Locate the template that you want to edit.
You can search by the template name or description or use filters such as the name, review status, next review date range or effective date range. You can also use the filters chip to quickly select the filters you want to use.
- In the Actions column, click the edit icon corresponding to the template that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit General Information icon to edit the information in the General
Information section of the Edit Trade Operation Template page.
You can edit details, such as the name, procurement BU, currency, and route, that you defined while creating the template.
- Select the Enable template review check box to be able to
review this template at the defined frequency. Selecting the check box shows the
fields in the Additional Details section as editable.
- From the Review Cycle list, select the review frequency as Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly.
- In the Review Status field, select the status as Reviewed or Pending review, as required.
- In the Next Review Date field, specify the date
when the template will become due for review.
The Last Review Date field displays the date when this template was last reviewed.
- Click Save to save the changes in the General Information section of the page.
- In the Charges section, click Add if you want to add a predefined charge line to the template.
- On the New Charge page, add the charge details as required.
- Click Save and Close to complete creating the predefined
charge line.
Alternatively, click Save and Add Next if you want to add another charge line to the template.
