Components of Formula

A Formula structure can include both products and ingredients.

Products

Products have a structure item type of Formula.

The product types can be:

1. Primary
2. Co-product
3. By-product

For example, when making tofu, the primary product is tofu, soy milk can be a co-product and okara (soybean pulp) is a by-product.

Ingredients

After you add rows, the product type defaults to Ingredient. A formula item can be a co-product, by-product, or ingredient, whereas a standard item can only be an ingredient.
