How do I create employee performance and reward plans?

You as a warehouse manager, can monitor the overall performance of your warehouse staff to align your organization's operational KPIs with team goals. You can identify outstanding employees who have done exceeding well based on the defined performance standards, outline the areas of further improvements, and give incentives for their operational efficiency and productivity by offering reward points.

Here are some of the key benefits:

  • Higher throughput and accuracy: Clear targets and feedback lift lines/hour while reducing mis-picks and rework.
  • Lower operating costs: Fewer errors, returns, and overtime through focused coaching and balanced staffing.
  • Stronger engagement and retention: Fair recognition, growth paths, and meaningful rewards.
  • Better planning: Reliable metrics improve labor forecasting and shift planning, stabilizing service levels.
  • Continuous improvement: Data-driven reviews surface bottlenecks and training needs, compounding gains over time.

Create a new performance plan

Here's how:

  1. In the Inventory Management work area, click , and then select Inventory Performance and Reward Plans task.
  2. Click Create and enter new plan details, such as name, type, frequency, and date.
  3. You can set it as a default plan and also include all workers under this plan by selecting Set as default plan and Include all workers checkbox.
  4. Click Create.

Define performance standards

Here's how:

  1. In the new plan page, in the Performance standards section, click .
  2. Enter details to monitor efficiency and throughput. For example, the task you want to monitor and the applicability level, such as organization, subinventory, or zone level.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Assign workers list to specify individual workers or select zones to include all workers from those zones automatically.

Define reward criteria

Here's how:

  1. In the new plan page, in the Reward criteria section, click to define a new reward rule.
  2. Select the activity type, and choose the level as organization, subinventory, or zone.
  3. Define the rule condition to define Throughput and Efficiency metrics. For example, Throughput = 200 tasks or Efficiency > 98%.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Specify the reward points to be awarded if the worker meets the criteria.
  6. If integrating with Oracle Celebrate, choose the Celebrate program.
  7. Click Activate to execute the performance plan.
Note: After you create and activate a performance plan, schedule the Perform Actions on Inventory Tasks scheduled process with the Action parameter set to Summarize Task Performance at an interval matching the plan’s reporting frequency. For example, if you have Daily Plans, then run the scheduled process every day to summarize the previous day’s performance, generate rewards, and display them as the current period’s results. If you only have Weekly Plans, then run the scheduled process at the start of each week to summarize the previous week’s performance and generate rewards.
