Generate LPNs
Use the Generate LPNs scheduled process to generate License Plate Numbers (LPN) in bulk. A printable Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) report is then created with the generated LPNs.
You can generate the LPNs using the LPN parameters specified in the Advanced Inventory Parameters page or you can override the Advanced Inventory Parameters and generate LPNs by using the input parameters.
The LPNs generated by the scheduled process are unique across organizations and are created in the defined but not used status. You can also use this scheduled process to generate LPNs for container items.
You must license Oracle Advanced Inventory Management to be able to access this scheduled process
When to Use
As a warehouse user, you can either pre-generate the LPNs in bulk, in advance instead of generating them at the time of performing inventory, receiving, or shipping transactions, or you have the option to generate LPNs by using the Generate and Print LPNs button in the Receive Lines, Put Away Lines, Confirm Picks page. You can also generate LPNs while performing transactions on the mobile device.
