Create a Rule to Configure a Page in Recruiting

Here are examples of how to create rules in Transaction Design Studio to configure Recruiting pages.

Example 1: Create a rule for the Recruiting - Create Job Requisition action

  1. Activate a sandbox and page editing at the Site layer in Settings and Actions Menu > Edit Pages > Activate a sandbox.

  2. On your Home page, go to My Client Groups > Quick Actions > HCM Experience Design Studio.

  3. Click the Transaction Design Studio tab.

  4. Select the action Recruiting - Create Job Requisition.

  5. Click Add to create a rule to display certain sections and fields.

  6. In the Basic Details section, enter a name and description for the rule.

  7. You can select a role, one or more recruiting types, and one or more countries for which the rule applies.

    • If you don't select a role, the rule applies to all roles.

    • When you select a recruiting type, the rule applies only to job requisitions with the same recruiting type.

    • When you select a country, the rule applies only to job requisitions for which one of the location is part of this country. The Primary Location or one of the Other Locations must be part of the selected country. For example, you select the country "United States". A requisition's location is Pleasanton, California, US. The rule applies to this requisition.

  8. In the Show or Hide Regions section, select which sections you want to make visible.

  9. In the Page Attributes section, select a region. Then select which fields are visible and which ones are required to be filled.

  10. Click Save and Close.

Example 2: Create a rule for the Recruiting - Candidate Application Additional Info action

  1. Activate a sandbox and page editing at the Site layer in Settings and Actions Menu > Edit Pages > Activate a sandbox.

  2. On your Home page, go to My Client Groups > Quick Actions > HCM Experience Design Studio.

  3. Click the Transaction Design Studio tab.

  4. Select the action Recruiting - Candidate Application Additional Info.

  5. Click Add to create and configure a rule to display certain flexfields for certain countries.

  6. In the Basic Details section, enter a name and description for the rule.

  7. In the Page Attributes section, the region Additional Info is selected by default. Set the Person Legislative Information field to Visible. Click the Edit icon. You can select any of the additional legislative flexfields that have been defined by Oracle's worldwide teams for each country's legislative requirements (PER_PERSON_LEGISLATIVE_DATA_LEG_DDF)

    • Flexfield Content Code: Select the country/legal employer for which the rule applies.

    • Flexfield Attributes: Select the specific field that has been configured in the lookups for that country/legal employer.

    • Select each field you want to make visible and which ones are required to be filled.

  8. Click Save and Close.
