Configure a Contextual Journey for Create Job Requisition

You can configure contextual journeys for the Create Job Requisition action. A journey comprises a checklist or a set of tasks that help automate routine or special processes effectively in your organization.

Based on the contextual journey setup, when users click the Create Job Requisition quick action from either My Team or My Client Groups, a single contextual journey or a list of eligible contextual journeys are displayed and users can launch the contextual journey to accomplish the action.

You configure contectual journeys from the Checklist Templates setup page.

Before you start

  • You need the function privilege Manage Journey (PER_MANAGE_CHECKLIST_TEMPLATE_PRIV) to work on checklist templates.
  • You first need to enable the profile option ORA_PER_CONTEXTUAL_JOURNEYS_ENABLED at the site level.

Here's what to do

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the task Checklist Templates.
  2. On the Checklist Templates page, click Create.
  3. In the Create Checklist window, complete the fields.
    • Name: Enter a name for the checklist.
    • Category: Select Contextual Journey.
    • Archive After Months: Enter the number of months after which the checklist can be archived.
    • Purge After Months: Enter the number of months after which the checklist can be purged.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Complete the fields in the General tab.
    • Context: Select the context where the quick action will appear: My Team or My Client Groups.
    • Contextual Action: Select Create Job Requisition.
    • Status: Select Active.
  6. Click Save.
  7. On the Tasks tab, click the Create icon and select Create Task to create a task so that the users can perform the quick action as part of the contextual journey. Complete the fields in the Tasks tab.
    • Name: Enter a name for the task.
    • Sequence: 1 is selected by default.
    • Required: Select this option.
    • Performer: The person who will perform the task. If you select Line Manager, the task will be displayed under My Team. If you select Areas of Responsibility, the task will be displayed under My Clients Group.
    • Task Type: Select Application Task.
    • Application Task: Select Create Job Requisition.
    • Status: Select Active.
  8. Click Save and Close.
