Compose a Message

You can send an email or SMS message to individual candidates using the Compose feature. You can use this feature only when the candidate has chosen either email or SMS as their preferred communication channel.

  1. Open a candidate page from Candidate Search, Job Requisitions, Job Applications, Prospects, Events, or Candidate Pools.
  2. Click the Messaging tab.
  3. Click the Compose button in the email or SMS section.
    If the candidate hasn’t chosen email or SMS as their preferred communication channel, this button will be disabled in the corresponding section.
  4. Create your message and click Send. Note that you can’t use predefined templates or insert tokens automatically. However, you can manually type in the tokens, and they will display the correct values when the message is sent. Ensure that the token spellings and capitalization are the same as predefined tokens.
