Prevent Unauthorized Use of Text Messages

Prevent text messages from being sent to unauthorized phone numbers or countries and also control the volume of messages using one or more of these methods:

• Limit the volume of text messages that can be sent per day.
• Specify the list of allowed countries to send messages to.
• Specify the list of blocked phone numbers to prevent sending SMS messages to them.
• Specify blocked phone number patterns and prevent sending SMS messages to phone numbers that match these patterns.

When you set up a list of allowed countries, any text messages sent to countries not on the list will be blocked in Recruiting. When you block specific phone numbers or patterns, any text messages sent to those blocked numbers or patterns will also be blocked in Recruiting. Messages will also be blocked if they're sent after the application-wide limit or candidate message limit has been reached per day. You can see the Blocked status and the reason for the block in the Text Messages section of the Messages tab.

In the Redwood version of Recruiting, you can resend the blocked messages in these scenarios:

• If the daily message limit has been reached, you can try resending the message the next day after the limits are reset.
• If you unblock phone numbers, patterns, or countries, you can resend the message immediately.
