Identify and Manage Inappropriate Candidate Messages

The Recruiting Inbox Screening Agent screens inbound candidate emails, SMS messages, and WhatsApp messages for inappropriate content. It uses intent-based detection to distinguish harmful content from ordinary criticism or frustration.

The agent identifies abusive, racist, threatening, harassing, sexual, violent, illegal, or profane content. When it identifies inappropriate content, it:

  • Masks the message text for users who don't have the View Inappropriate Message Content privilege (IRC_VIEW_INAPPROPRIATE_MESSAGE_CONTENT_PRIV).
  • Displays the unmasked message text for users who have the privilege.
  • Displays message indicators and banners for affected messages and conversations.
  • Adds the candidate label selected by your administrator when at least one message from the candidate contains inappropriate content.
  • Prevents the message from being sent to the Career Coach agent for SMS and WhatsApp messages, or to the Recruiting Inbox Response Agent for email messages.
  • Doesn't notify the hiring team about messages that contain inappropriate content.
  • Disables AI Assist and summary generation for messages that contain inappropriate content.

Review inappropriate messages

  1. Open Message Center or the Messages tab.
  2. Review the candidate tag, message indicators, and banners that identify messages containing inappropriate content.
  3. Open an email, SMS message, or WhatsApp message to review it. The message content is masked unless you have the View Inappropriate Message Content privilege.

Mark a message as not offensive

If you think that a message is appropriate, you can change its status.

  1. Open the email, SMS message, or WhatsApp message.
  2. Select Mark as Not Offensive.

When all messages from a candidate are marked as not offensive, the candidate label is removed.

Remove a candidate label

If a candidate no longer sends inappropriate messages, you can remove their label.

  1. Open the candidate profile page.
  2. From the Actions menu, select Edit Tags.
  3. Remove the inappropriate-content label.
  4. Save your changes.
