How do I hide the Check-Ins tab in Performance Spotlight?

Use the aggregate privileges under user roles to control display to the tab for specific users.

The user roles available are:

• ORA_HRA_VIEW_CHECK_IN_DOCUMENT to view a check-in document.

• ORA_HRA_MANAGE_CHECK_IN_DOCUMENT to create a check-in document.

Each user role is a combination of:

• Functional access: Determines the pages a user can access. This is provided by the HRA_VIEW_CHECK_IN_DOCUMENT_PRIV and HRA_MANAGE_CHECK_IN_DOCUMENT_PRIV privileges.

• Data access: Determines the data a user can manage. This is controlled through security policies defined for the HRA_VIEW_CHECK_IN_DOCUMENT_DATA and HRA_MANAGE_CHECK_IN_DOCUMENT_DATA data security privileges.

You associate an aggregate role with your custom roles and configure the data security policy to prevent access to the Check-Ins tab.

For example, you can create UK HR and US HR roles, each with the ORA_HRA_MANAGE_CHECK_IN_DOCUMENT role. Both roles provide access to the Check-Ins tab, while their respective data security policies restrict users from displaying the Check-Ins tab for UK-based or US-based employees respectively.
