Application Models

Tax Reporting supports the following types of application models:

  1. Non-Hybrid with Account as Dense: In this model the Account dimension is Dense and the rest of the dimensions are Sparse. This was the initial model released with Tax Reporting. This model is supported on Legacy Essbase and Hybrid-enabled Essbase.
  2. Non-Hybrid with Account, and Data Source as Dense: In this model Account and Data Source dimensions are Dense and the rest of the dimensions are Sparse. This model is supported on Legacy Essbase and Hybrid-enabled Essbase.
  3. Hybrid with Period and Movement as Dense (DSO): In this model Period and Movement dimensions are Dense and the rest of the dimensions are Sparse. This model is supported only on Hybrid-enabled Essbase.

Note:

  • Hybrid with Period and Movement as Dense is the default application model when you create a new application.
  • You can migrate from Non-Hybrid with Account as Dense or Non-Hybrid with Account, and Data Source as Dense to Hybrid with Period and Movement as Dense from the Performance Settings option under Tools->Configuration.
