Applying Filters to Data Displayed Within Operational Dashboards

You can use filters to restrict the data displayed in a dashboard and its views.

Use the Show/Hide toggle icon next to the Search box to display or hide the filter bar.

In the Filter bar, you can do the following to filter the displayed dashboards:

• Add additional filters
• Specify the condition for each filter
• Clear or Remove a filter
• Clear All Filters

To restrict data displayed in a dashboard:

1. Run the dashboard and display its data.
2. If a global filter was configured for this dashboard, use this to filter data displayed in all the views in the dashboard.
3. For any view, use the filter defined on a view to filter data displayed in that view.

The global filter is first applied to all the views in the dashboard. Then, for each view, the filter defined for that view is applied.
