Converting the Application Model to Hybrid-Optimized (DSO)
Pre-Migration Steps
Before you start converting the application, you must complete these actions:
- Ensure there are no pending metadata changes and that Refresh Database has been successfully performed
- Take a backup of the application
- Disable scheduled jobs
- Reschedule the automatic maintenance window so it’s unlikely to kick off while the application is being converted
- Confirm that the application is in administrator mode
Migration Steps
- On the Home page, select Application, and then Configuration.
- Select Performance Settings on the Configuration screen.
- The validation starts.
- Review and save the summary of changes.
- Click Launch to convert the application. When the process starts, all existing users will be logged off and all active requests will be stopped.
- Wait for the application to be converted. The process will need to perform a dense database restructure which may take a significant amount of time. You can also monitor progress via the Make Period and Movement Dense job in the job console Application->Jobs.
- When the process is complete log out of the application and log back in.
Note:
You cannot revert after converting your application to a Hybrid-optimized model.
