Converting the Application Model to Hybrid-Optimized (DSO)

Pre-Migration Steps

Before you start converting the application, you must complete these actions:

  • Ensure there are no pending metadata changes and that Refresh Database has been successfully performed
  • Take a backup of the application
  • Disable scheduled jobs
  • Reschedule the automatic maintenance window so it’s unlikely to kick off while the application is being converted
  • Confirm that the application is in administrator mode

Migration Steps

  1. On the Home page, select Application, and then Configuration.
  2. Select Performance Settings on the Configuration screen.

  4. Review and save the summary of changes.

  5. Click Launch to convert the application. When the process starts, all existing users will be logged off and all active requests will be stopped.
  6. Wait for the application to be converted. The process will need to perform a dense database restructure which may take a significant amount of time. You can also monitor progress via the Make Period and Movement Dense job in the job console Application->Jobs.
  7. When the process is complete log out of the application and log back in.

    Note:

You cannot revert after converting your application to a Hybrid-optimized model.
