Deleting Dimension Attributes

Dimension member attributes will be logically deleted instead of physically deleted. Internally, the member attribute will still be retained, but marked as it is no longer available for selection. The member attribute information will still be displayed if it was previously set in the supplemental data form. When you delete a dimension member attribute, it will no longer be included when creating new supplemental data forms. However, the dimension member attribute will remain within any existing forms.

If there are no references to the logically deleted member, it will be physically deleted in the next run of the system maintenance job.

To delete dimension member attributes:

1. On the Home page, click Application, and then click Supplemental Data.
2. Click the Dimensions tab on the left.
3. Select a Local dimension, then click Actions, and then Edit.
4. On the Attributes tab, select an attribute, and then click Delete.

   Note:

   You can't delete an attribute if it is referenced in a collection.
5. From the confirmation prompt to delete the attribute, click Yes.
