Sorting Members

You can sort members in ascending or descending order, by children or descendants. Sorting members affects the outline.

To sort members using the Simplified dimension editor:

1. View Edit Member Properties.

   See Accessing the Simplified Dimension Editor.

2. On the dimension grid, select the members whose children or descendants you want to sort.
3. For Sort, select Children or Descendants.

   Sorting by children affects only members in the level immediately below the selected member. Sorting by descendants affects all descendants of the selected member. If you do not see the Sort options at the top of the page, click .

4. Click Sort Ascending or Sort Descending.
