Remove Shipment
This page is accessed via Fleet Management > Resource Management > Work Assignment > Actions > Remove Shipment.
Run this action to remove a shipment from a work assignment. You specify shipments on a work assignment and after they are removed, you have the option of reordering the remaining shipments on the work assignment. If the service time calculation is infeasible you are prompted to force the action.
Note: When you run this action, the system considers the WA MAX DISTANCE BETWEEN SHIPMENTS, WA MAX DURATION BETWEEN SHIPMENTS, WA MAX SHIPMENTS IN TOUR, and WA MIN SHIPMENTS IN TOUR logic configuration parameters. If these parameters are violated by the action, you will be prompted to stop the action, or to override the violations and continue the action.
Removing Shipments from a Work Assignment
- Select the shipments you want to remove.
- Click Remove Selected Shipments.
Changing Shipment Sequences
- After selecting the option button in front of the shipment, you can change the sequence of the shipments by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
- If you want to reset the sequence to the sequence the rows were in when you first entered the screen, click the Default Sort button. The original sequence is the shipments that were previously on the work assignment in chronological order.
- After you change the order of the shipments, optionally use the Recalculate button to calculate the changes in distance and duration for the empty portions of the work assignment that occur between shipments. You do not need to click this button as recalculations are done when you click the Update Work Assignment button.
- To save the sequence, click the Update Work Assignment button.
Using on a Workbench
On a workbench layout with a Work Assignment Gantt chart, you can right-click on a shipment and remove it from the work assignment.
On the Work Assignment Gantt chart, right-click on a shipment and select Remove Shipment. This runs the work assignment action, Remove Shipment, in the background. Once the Remove Shipment action is selected, all calculations are done in the background and the work assignment and shipment are updated in all workbench components.
