Shipment Equipment Details

This page is accessed via a Buy or Sell Shipment. Click Actions > Shipment Management > Events > Add Shipment Event. Then select a Shipment Equipment ID - Initial Number and save it. Then Edit the selected shipment equipment ID.

You use the Shipment Equipment Details page to enter information about shipment equipment on a shipment event.

1. Enter an Equipment Initial. If this field is blank and the Equipment Initial/Number field is populated, then this field with be filled with data from the Initial/Number field.
2. You can enter value in the Equipment Number field that identifies a particular piece of equipment. If this field is blank and the Equipment Initial/Number field is populated, then this field with be filled with data from the Initial/Number field.
3. The Equipment Initial/Number field should be a concatenation of equipment initial and equipment number. It identifies the carrier who owns the equipment. This is standard alpha code (also known as a "mark") that is uniquely assigned to the carrier and is associated with their SCAC code (Standard Carrier Alpha Code).
4. Enter an Equipment Type.
5. Enter the Intermodal Equipment Length.
6. Enter a value in the Tare Weight field to define the weight of a container and/or packing materials without the weight of the goods it contains.
7. Use the Scale Name field to enter the name for the scale used to weigh the equipment.
8. Scale Location identifies a location where equipment is weighed. This is not an Oracle Transportation Management location and appears for information only.
9. Use the Scale Ticket field to enter an ID for the scale.
10. Enter the Scale Weight to define the measure used to weigh equipment at the scale location.
11. Use the Weight Qualifier field to select the type of weight measurement.

Equipment Seal

1. Enter the Seal Number with which the equipment is associated for the shipment.
2. Click Save for each seal number.
