Order Management

Declared Value

The declared value is for describing the value of line items in a specific currency. This value is not used in the shipment planning process.

The declared value on shipment ship unit lines gets pulled from the declared value on order release lines. The declared value on the shipment ship unit line corresponding to an order release line is used in allocating the cost for order release line or order release if the allocation method has a metric of Declared Value. There is no declared value being populated on the order release, so we do not have the option of considering the declared value from shipment ship unit when trying to allocate the cost for order releases.

The declared value is also used on the In-Transit/Delivered Item Value Report. Only order releases with line items that have a declared value are included in this report. Again the declared value used on this report is pulled from shipment ship unit line corresponding to the order release line.
