Adjust Balance

This page is accessed via Licenses and Registrations > Licenses > Actions > Utilities > Adjust Balance.

Use this action to adjust balances on an existing license. Most commonly, this is necessary when a customer returns an item that was shipped under a license's authority.

The Adjust Balance screen shows License Line ID, the License Line Description, the Authorized Value, the Available Value, the Authorized Quantity, and the Available Quantity.

1. Select the license line ID of the item for which you wish to adjust the balance.
2. Enter the amount of the adjustment in the appropriate field. If you are adjusting the license value, use the Adjust Value field. If you are adjusting the license quantity use the Adjust Quantity field. If you are adding to the value or quantity, the value you enter must be a positive number. If you are subtracting a value or quantity, your entry must be a negative number.

   Note: You cannot make an adjustment that exceeds either the remaining value or the remaining quantity value.

3. Enter any comments or notes to the Comments text box.
4. Click Adjust Balance.
