Compliance Rule Set Groups

This page is accessed via Master Data > Power Data > Compliance Rules > Compliance Rule Set Groups.

Use this page to view existing rule groups or create new ones. By grouping rules, you can control how those rules will be used by compliance policies during compliance screening.

Compliance Rule Set Group

  1. Enter an ID in the Compliance Rule Set Group ID field.
  2. Enter the ID of the algorithm associated with this rule group in the Compliance Algorithm ID field.

Note: The EAR algorithm is only applicable when specifying a control category of License, License Exception, or Sanction on the compliance rule. For all other available control categories, the cumulative algorithm will be used.

  3. Enter a User-defined Code Profile ID.
  4. Choose the domain in which the group will exist from the Domain Name drop-down list.

Compliance Rule Set

  1. Enter a value in the Sequence Number field. This value determines the order in which this particular detail will be applied.

Note: Increment the service sequence by decades, that is, 10, 20, 30, etc.  This will allow you to later modify the sequence easily.

  2. Enter an ID in the Compliance Rule Set ID field.
  3. Select a license override type from the Control Override Option drop-down list. The option that you select will determine whether the license control results received from the first rule set can be overridden by the next rule set.
  4. Select an exception override type from the Exception Override Type drop-down list. The option that you select will determine whether the exception control results received from the first rule set can be overridden by the next rule set.
  5. Select the Exception Restriction check box if you wish to apply an exception restriction. No further rule set will be applicable if this check box is selected.
  6. Click Save. You can continue to add as many rule sets as you need.
  7. Click Finished.
