Trade Programs

This page is accessed via Master Data > Power Data > Tariffs > Trade Programs.

Trade programs model the different programs that define tariff rates. Examples include General System of Preferences Rate, Special Civil Aircraft Rate, and CARI – tariff preference CARIFORUM.

Adding a Trade Program

  1. Enter a unique identifier in the Trade Program ID field. You will use this ID when you refer to this trade program on other pages.
  2. Enter a product classification type in the Product Classification Type field.
  3. Enter the version in the Data Version field. This is a new version of external data that you import for use in the tariff process.
  4. Enter a short name for the trade program in the Short Name field.

Note: In the case of trade programs, product classification details may be downloaded from a third-party content provider. When downloaded, GTM will automatically generate an ID field for trade program based on <version-program code>. Additionally, with every new version downloaded, a new ID will be generated and an old version-specific trade program is marked as "Current = False". Referring to an ID to search for a trade program doesn't always display results. Hence, in all the pages where trade program is being referred to, GTM would use a short name to look for trade programs.

  1. Enter a trade program name in the Name field.
  2. Select a domain in which this trade program will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
  3. Enter a trade agreement ID in the Trade Agreement field.
  4. Enter a trade preference ID in the Trade Preference field.
  5. Enter a trade program type ID in the Trade Program Type field.
  6. If you want to make this as the default trade program, select the Default check box.
  7. If you want to include a country in the trade program, select the Include Country check box. The Include Country grid appears. If the Include Country check box is not selected, you will see the Exclude Countries grid.
  8. Enter a code that is externally used for the trade program in the External Reference Code field.
  9. On the either Include Countries grid, if the check box is selected, or the Exclude Countries grid, if the check box is not selected, enter the appropriate Country Codes and then click Save.
  10. Click Finished.
