User-Defined Code Types

This page is accessed via Master Data > Power Data > User-defined Codes > User-defined Code Types.

Use this feature to create your own code types for use in Global Trade Management.

Adding a User-defined Code Type

  1. Enter an ID in the Code Type ID field.
  2. Select a category from the Code Category drop-down list.
  3. Select the domain in which this code type will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
  4. Enter an ID in the Regime ID field.
  5. Enter an ID in the Regulation Reference ID field.
  6. If needed, enter a description of the code type in the Description field.

Object Type

This section allows you to add a single or more object types to a user-defined code type so that one code type can be shared across all object types.

  1. Select an object type from the Object Type drop-down list. Supported object types include:
    • Trade Transaction: Select this option to associate a user-defined code type with trade transaction.
    • Trade Item Structure: Select this option to associate a user-defined code type with item structure.
    • Contact: Select this option to associate a user-defined code type with party.
    • Bond: Select this option to associate a user-defined code type with bond.
  1. Click Finished.
