Upload Target CSV

This page is accessed via:

  • Transportation Intelligence > Power Data > Transportation Intelligence > Upload Target CSV
  • Global Trade Intelligence > Power Data > Transportation Intelligence > Upload Target CSV

Use this page to upload targets via CSV to the OTM database. You can then use the Run Targets process to load data from the OTM database to the Transportation Intelligence (TI) database. The upload process transfers files from your local machine (or from an accessible network machine) to the Oracle Transportation Management server.

Note: Global Trade Intelligence (GTI) does not use targets. Do not use the Upload Target CSV process to attempt to upload targets for GTI. The table structure does not support GTI targets at this time.

Uploading Targets via CSV:

  1. Select Transportation Intelligence > Power Data.
  2. Click Transportation Intelligence > Upload Target CSV.
  3. Click Browse... next to the Select CSV file to upload field.

Note: For use with CSV files ONLY! See the Uploading Targets via CSV section of the Data Flow to Transportation Intelligence topic for details on the format of the CSV file.

  4. Navigate to the CSV file that you want to upload to Oracle Transportation Management. To determine this format, use CSV Export to export the E_FTI_TARGETS table.

Note: There is no validation for any of the columns in the CSV during the Upload Target CSV process. So you must enter the correct value in the target_name column. The value entered into the target_name column must exactly match the name of the target when it is viewed via TI Ad Hoc Query. If you misspell a target name, then a new target is created and the existing target is not updated. For example, the order release target of Average Actual Transit Time must have a target_name of AVERAGE ACTUAL TRANSIT TIME in the E_FTI_TARGETS CSV file.

  5. Select the file you want from the window list, then click Open.
  6. Click Upload. The Launch Integration page appears.
