Shipping Agent Contact: Profit Split

This page is accessed via Brokerage and Forwarding > Shipping Agent Management > Shipping Agent Contacts. This is on the Profit Split tab.

After you set up your identification data for a shipping agent, you can optionally define profit splitting information. This outlines how profits are to be split between different agents involved with the job. The data entered here is for information only and is not used to calculate any commissions owed to agents.

1. If you enter a Mode Profile, it will be compared to the transport mode of the primary leg of the shipment.
2. Entering a Shipper Profile compares the location related to the shipper involved party on the order.
3. If you enter a Consignee Profile, it will be compared to the location related to the consignee involved party on the order.
4. What is entered in the Job Type field will be compared with the type of job.
5. The Profit Split is the percentage of the profit the agent is supposed to get.
6. The Profit Split Amount field specifies an exact amount of the profit the agent is supposed to get.
