Order Management

Collapse Order Movements

This page is accessed via Order Management > Order Movement > Order Movement > Actions > Order Management > Change Order > Collapse Order Movements.

This action allows you to take an existing unplanned order movement that has subsequent order movements and select the destination of one of the subsequent order movements. The destination of the selected order movement will be changed to the new location and the order movement that had that location and all order movements in between will be deleted. You may have an order movement going from Point A through a cross-dock and on to Point B. This will enable you to eliminate the cross-dock and go directly from Point A to Point B. This is similar to the shipment action Append Shipment.

Note: This action does not work for a bulk-splittable order movement that has been split.  (However, it does work for an un-split bulk-splittable order movement even when the previous leg order movement has been split, for example, because it had to be split to be planned onto a shipment.)

Collapsing Order Movements

  1. Select a Destination Location. This will be the new destination location for the selected order movement and all related intervening order movements will be deleted.
  2. Select the Change from Original Order Movement Constraints check box if you want to change the constraint values on the selected order movements.
  3. In the New Classification Leg ID list, you can change constraints. You can select any leg classification ID that exists on the order release for that order movement. The order release constraints associated with that leg classification ID will be used to replace the constraint values on the selected order movement. If no leg classification ID is chosen, the constraint values will be nulled out. Either way, the original leg ID will be nulled out. This list field only displays if you selected the Change from Original Order Movement Constraints check box.
  4. Click OK. The selected order movement is modified and downstream shipments are deleted.
