Order Management

Assign Voyage Schedule

This action is accessed via Order Release Manager > Order Management > Change Order > Assign Voyage Schedule

This action will retrieve all the schedules either from the external or internal systems based on the planning parameters defined in the Parameter Set of the Voyage Schedule section.  You can select a particular schedule and assign it to the order using this action.

Note: If you want to fetch the voyage schedule from the Ocean insights P44, you must create an external system to connect to the Ocean insights P44. To create an external system, refer to Creating External System.

The inputs for this action are Port Of Load and Port Of Discharge specified on the order release and will fall back on source and destination location of the order if the Port Of Load or Port Of Discharge is not present. Additionally, this action will use parameters Before Arrival /After Departure, Number of weeks, and Rate Service ID from the Voyage Schedule section of planning parameters defined in the Parameter Set.

When the user selects one of the order releases and performs the Assign Voyage Schedule web action, the application will populate the Voyage ID, External Voyage Code, and Direct Voyage in the Constraints tab of the Order Release screen, and the application will assign the voyage schedule to the order. The result screen is similar to the Asking Oracle about Voyage Schedules screen.

In the Planning parameter, if the Before Arrival /After Departure parameter is defined as Before Arrival then the application will consider the  Early Delivery Date or Late Delivery Date from the Order Release tab of the Order Release screen. If both Early Delivery Date and Late Delivery Date are defined, the application will consider the Early Delivery Date. If both are not defined, the current date is used. The application will look for voyages before the derived date for a period of weeks as specified by the Number of weeks parameter.

If After Departure is defined, the application will consider the  Early Pickup Date or Late Pickup date from the Order Release tab of the Order Release screen. If both Early Pickup Date and Late Pickup date are defined, the application will consider the Early Pickup Date. If both are not defined, the current date is used. The application will look for voyages after the derived date for a period of weeks as specified by the Number of weeks parameter.

This web action can also be executed on multiple order releases with the constraints of the same source and  destination.
