Curve

This page is accessed via Operational Planning > Power Data > Load Configuration > Curve.

Use the Curve page to define equipment with curved roofs. After defining the curve, you assign the Curve ID to a particular equipment group.

Note: Curve definitions for equipment are only considered when using the Load Configuration functionality. This functionality must be set to run using the PERFORM LOAD CONFIGURATION parameter.

The system only considers loading patterns with odd numbers of rows standing straight. The system assumes that the curve in the roof is symmetrical from left to right. Using the Distance Break and Height fields as many times as necessary, specify the curve as a series of connected points on the curve. The more points you enter, the more the curve will be defined and the rounder it will appear. The curve is represented by a piece-wise linear function. The data needs to be set such that they represent points on the actual curve, with height defined at two points at least, with the zero distance (center) and end distance (half-width).

The Distance Break defines the distance from the center of the equipment to the point in the curve for which you are defining the height.

The Height field defines the height of the curved section of the equipment from floor to ceiling.
