Weight Break Profiles

Weight Break Profiles are obsolete. They have been replaced by unit breaks.

You can identify and define groups of weight breaks using profiles. The weight break profile can be used when defining a rate offering to apply different rates when shipments have different weights.

  1. Enter a Weight Break Profile ID.
  2. Enter a Weight Break ID to establish the cost of transporting goods from one location to another.
  3. Enter the Weight Break Max to define several upper weight limits to signify the start of a new rate. For instance, if you defined 3 weight breaks with a max of 1000 pounds, 2000 pounds, 3000 pounds, a certain rate would be applied for transporting goods that weighed between 0 and 1000 pounds, a different one from 1001-2000 pounds and yet another one for 2001-3000 pounds. Do not to enter weight breaks with duplicate weights.
  4. Click Save for each weight break ID you enter.
