Attribute Rule

This page is accessed via Business Process Automation > Power Data > Event Management > Attribute Rule.

Attribute rules allow you to create user-defined rules used while building agents. These rules can be used as part of the evaluation criteria for IF and ELSEIF agent actions. When using an attribute rule in an agent, the attributes must be of the same context as the agent. If the agent is an "Equipment Agent" the attribute rule should be an "Equipment Attribute Rule".

Adding Attribute Rules

  1. Enter an Attribute Rule ID.
  2. Select a domain in which this attribute rule will be active from the Domain Name drop-down list.
  3. Select a Rule Type. There are several  rule types:
    • Status: For use with status types. This is used for value-based rules and can be set up at the data query level.
    • Remark: Remark text evaluation rules for drivers, equipment, and power units.
    • Event Group: Event group-based rules that can be used to match against incoming events.
    • Status Code: Status code-based rules that are matched against incoming events.
  4. Select an Object Type.

Note: If you select Event Group or Status Code, the only valid object types are ORDER_BASE, ORDER_RELEASE, SHIPMENT, and SHIPMENT GROUP.

  5. Click Attribute Rule Details.
