Diverting Shipments

This action is accessed via Shipment Management > Shipment Management > Buy Shipments or Sell Shipments> Actions > Operational Planning > Change Shipment Route > Divert Shipment.

You can change the destination location for a shipment. When you select a new location, Oracle Transportation Management recalculates the time the shipment arrives at the new location based on service time.

Note: Diverted shipments will fall outside the assigned itinerary. In other words, the itinerary on the shipment may not match the actual routing of the shipment when the shipment has been diverted. If you divert a shipment that will take precedence over the itinerary.
