Fill Missing Lanes

This page is accessed via Sourcing > Lane Aggregation > Lane Summary Criteria > Actions > Fill Missing Lanes.

Note: This action does not work with shipment type Ocean.

Prior to running the Build Lane Summary action, run the Fill Missing Lanes action so that any shipments that came over to Oracle Transportation Sourcing without an assigned rate lane (or any shipments that have been deleted using the Null Out Lane action in the Shipment Manager) will get an assigned lane.

This action attempts to assign an existing lane to each shipment record at the most specific level of detail possible, according to the desired geo hierarchy profile specified on the shipment set to which the shipment belongs. If no appropriate lane is found, a new one is generated based on the source and destination locations of the shipment, combined with the best source and destination geo hierarchy specified on the lane summary.

Filling Missing Lanes

• Click Fill Missing Lanes to start the action.
  
  When the action is complete, you see the Affected Shipments grid which contains the Shipment ID and its new Lane ID.
  
  If no shipments were missing lanes, then the grid is blank.
