Saved Mail

This page is accessed via Business Process Automation > Power Data > Mail Management > Saved Mail.

Use this page to search for and view saved mail. Some of the items you can use to narrow down your search include:

  • Status:
    • QUOTA: blocked by a mail quota.
    • SENDER: blocked by Mail Delivery, due to the From party not being registered as a mail sender. To fix this go to the Mail Senders page.
    • SUPPRESSION: blocked by Mail Delivery, due to the recipients being suppressed. To fix this, go to the Mail Failures page.
    • FAILURE: failed due to an invalid email address or an intermittent transport error in Mail Delivery. If transport errors persist, contact Support.
    • SENT: sent out of OTM, but not necessarily delivered. Mailboxes may reject mail successfully sent. Critical emails such as tenders may be resent even in a Sent status.
  • Main Audit Profile: the highest ranking rule driving the audit. This can be used to identify a type of email, in addition to the Subject.

You may resend multiple messages from the Finder Results. To do so, click the Resend button after selecting the messages to resend. If the current mail quota will be exceeded by the action, and the cause of the failure was quota limits, it will fail. While you can see messages, you cannot edit them. You can automate this process using the Resubmit Saved Mail process control action.

Depending on the mail audit profiles, mail content may be persisted for resubmission. Mails failing due to quota may be resubmitted when loads are lighter. Mail failing due to mail senders or suppressed mail recipients may be resubmitted when the underlying errors are corrected. Mail failing due to transport failure may be resubmitted when network issues are addressed.

These messages can be reviewed on this page. From this page, you can see all details of the saved message, including the recipients, subject and attachment list. You can view messages and their attachments there, along with queuing them to be resent. If you view a message, you can click View Message to view the header, and if there are attachments, you can click View to see each attachment. While viewing a message, you can click the Resend button to resend it, and if there are attachments, you can view those as well.

Saved mail records are based on the combination of all active mail audit profiles with explicit persist states.

Note: Mail is saved for 6 days before it is automatically deleted from the system.
